Top Three Spots Achieved in Chess

The East Auckland Secondary Schools Chess Tournament was held at Macleans College on Wednesday 23 May 2018.

Four schools altogether participated in the games. They were Pakuranga College, Edgewater College, St Kentigern College and Macleans College. The latter contributed five teams while the other three secondary schools had a share of four teams.

At the end of the tournament Macleans College teams snatched the top three positions and in the process qualified for National finals to be held in Mount Maunganui in September this year.
